The Sun has always been the Creator, the heart and the life of all earthlings. In historical times, esoteric images of the One God have succeeded the golden Disc to portray the limitless majesty of His divine Spirit. The Egyptians knew countless forms of the Sun-god. The pharaoh was the Son of Ra, as all kings are Traditionally the Sun-god incarnate. The ancient Chaldeans of Babylon knew this God as Bel. Equally as ancient and more astonishing even than the Chaldeans, the astrologer-priests of the Celtic Druids taught the worship of the Sun, under many names. Rivalling Christ, the Romans first worshipped Mithras, the All-Conquering Saviour Sun. The Greeks adored the Sun as Helios, Hyperion, Phoebus and glorious Apollo.
